Suktara Chakraborti

Suktara’s curiosity about the ESG domain led her to join Envint as an intern. A postgraduate in Wildlife Conservation from Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Environment Education & Research, Pune, Suktara has a transdisciplinary research background. Her experience ranges from studying insect diversity in the restored forests of Bandipur to understanding the threats faced by an endemic mongoose species in the East Kolkata Wetlands. Suktara strongly believes that businesses must play their part in protecting and restoring the environment, not just for their own operations’ sustenance but also for the benefit of other species sharing the planet with us. At Envint, she undertakes projects related to E&S due diligence and audits across various sectors, ecosystem screening, and impact assessments for renewable energy companies. Simultaneously, she supports the development of biodiversity-related services, leveraging her strong expertise in biodiversity. One of the things Suktara loves about her job is the opportunity to travel to different locations and engage with grassroots and local communities. She also finds solace in nature and expresses her creativity through art and culinary explorations.
