Vidisha Somashekar

Vidisha Somashekar is an ESG and sustainability advisor with over 15 years of experience supporting investors, financial institutions and businesses in managing environmental, social and governance risks across complex sectors and geographies. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and a Master's degree in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University, Canada. Vidisha has advised multinational corporations, private equity funds, development finance institutions and businesses across sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, renewable energy, infrastructure, logistics and consumer goods. Her experience spans ESG and EHS due diligence, environmental and social risk assessments, sustainability strategy, climate and carbon advisory, environmental compliance and sustainability reporting. At Envint, Vidisha works with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions that help clients address ESG risks, meet regulatory and sustainability requirements, and make informed business and investment decisions. Outside of work, Vidisha enjoys scuba diving, hiking, reading and travelling. She has a keen interest in biodiversity, organic farming and gardening, and is passionate about wildlife conservation and animal rescue.
